Field Trips TODAY!
The Museum offers content-rich experiences outside the classroom that
expose children to science and the natural world. Field Trips are developed
to broaden children's knowledge of science, make connections to their
own lives, and spark imaginations that lead to life-long learning.
All programs are designed to address grade
appropriate Nevada State Science Education Standards.

• Field trips are available Monday through Friday at 9:30am, 11:00am or 1:00pm.
Programs are approximately 1 hour long.
Group Sizes 10 – 120 students (Students will be separated into 1-4 groups depending on size of group)
• As a CHOLLA Member The Las Vegas Natural History Museum is exempt from
some Bus Black Out Days.

Learning Safari
Safari to the African Savannah, explore the deep
sea, time travel to the prehistoric past or wonder
at the marvels of the Mohave. See unique animals
from around the world!
Theme & Focus:
Everybody Needs a home - Identify animal habitats
within diverse environments and An Animal's Fight
for Survival - Understand that living things adapt
to their ecosystem for survival.

Science Sleuths
A gallery interpretive experience with a Science Lab
that engages students in observation and other
science process skills. Grades: 4th & 5th
Group Size 10 – 60 Students (Students will be
separated into 1-2 groups)

Early Explorers
Young learners will enjoy this five gallery
interpretive tour packed with mysterious animals,
fun activities, and engaging content created to
develop language, cognitive skills.

Animals - Observe & describe animal attributes

Grades: Pre-K and K
Museum Outreach
Underwater City: Life in the Coral Reef
This program takes place in your classroom. A teaching trunk complete
with specimens, multimedia, games, puzzles, and curriculum can be followed for
Coral Reef, Prehistoric and Wild Nevada.
Family Programs
Weekend Science
Weekend Science is offered every Saturday to families. This exciting program explores nature using
scientific skills and processes. Families enjoy experiential learning, explorations, and investigation.
